Artist Bio

If I were to recall my first desire to paint, I guess It was in the 2nd grade.  I didn’t like the color of my school shoes, so I painted them.  Apparently, that is when I first showed an interest in painting.  That was a very long time ago!

Over the years,  I ditched the shoes for canvases, and continued to expand my knowledge….

Educated in watercolor, acrylic and pastel, my affection towards oil paintings began to dominate most of my time and canvases. Today, I enjoy the easy flow of oil paint, using a palette knife, allowing my paintings to display movement and texture to whatever degree suits the composition and personality of my subjects. My generous application of paint leads to depth, character and life to each piece. My painting style reflects that of expressionistic impressionism with a flair for vivid color.
